TAMPA — Area accounting executive Lee Bell was promoted to president of Pensacola-based accounting firm Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund.

Bell, who joined the firm in 2001, previously led the Tampa office and served on the firm's executive committee, according to a statement. Bell takes over as president from Ron Jackson, who will take on a new role as an adviser and mentor to younger leaders, the statement says. Jackson served as the firm's president for the past 25 years.

Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund is an accounting and consulting firm with offices in Pensacola, Tampa, Orlando and Fort Walton Beach. It was recognized as one of the top 200 accounting firms in the country by Inside Public Accounting in 2013 and 2014.
