Prominent commercial real estate and banking executive Maryann Mize has been reappointed chairperson of the CCIM Institute's Ward Center for Real Estate Studies.

The Ward Center's purpose is to provide education on “relevant and timely topics in the commercial real estate industry,” a statement says. It was formed in 2007.

Mize is senior vice president and senior credit officer at Charlotte State Bank & Trust. As a CCIM senior instructor, she often gives presentations on Charlotte County real estate statistics to business and civic groups, the statement adds.

Other appointed members of the Chicago-based CCIM Institute's 2016 leadership team include: Steven Moreira, president and owner of SWM Properties and Investments Inc. in Longwood; Robin Webb, managing director and principal of NAI Realvest in Orlando; David Wilson, executive vice president at Lockard Cos. in Cedar Falls, Iowa; and Louis Nimkoff, president of Brio Real Estate in Winter Park.
