TAMPA — Linda Kemp, a mortgage banker with Raymond James Bank, was named chairwoman of the Tampa Bay Community Development Corp.'s board of directors for the second time.

Kemp, who has been a board member of the CDC since 2000, is the only woman to lead the CDC's board twice, according to a release. Before joining Raymond James as a mortgage banker, Kemp worked at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, GMAC Mortgage and Market Street Mortgage.

“This is who she is,” says Raymond James president Steve Raney in the statement. “She's dedicated. Linda has helped so many first-time homebuyers over the years. She knows how it works. She makes it easy for our clients and helps them achieve their dream of home ownership.”

The Tampa Bay CDC, founded in 1982, is a private, nonprofit organization with a mission of helping low-to-moderate income households find homeownership opportunities.
