Bonita Springs-based Atilus, a digital design and online marketing company, recently added a unique client to its fast-growing business roster.

The company built the website for Boxing Weekend, an amateur boxing charity event organized by fraternities at the University of Tennessee. It's not just about the fights. The event has also been dubbed “The Biggest Party Weekend in the South.”

Atilus created the event's website in 2015, and it recently relaunched the site boxingweekend.com, with new improvements. “The key challenges they faced included difficulty purchasing tickets and the website didn't highlight the charity benefiting from the event,” says Kristen Bachmeier, client service manager for Atilus.

In addition to selling tickets to the public, the event also draws corporate sponsors. “We developed a sponsorship module, which allows the client to dynamically update the available sponsor tables with just a few clicks,” Bachmeier adds in a statement.

Boxing Weekend is scheduled for Feb. 9-11, where more than 50 fraternity brothers will box in 11 weight classes. Proceeds of the event will benefit the Knoxville chapter of Golden Gloves of America, an organization that promotes physical fitness and emotional well being for the social development of young athletes nationally.

Says Bachmeier: “It's so gratifying to work on a project such as Boxing Weekend because you know the results will inspire a new generation of young people to learn the importance of strong work ethic and self-discipline.”
