Tampa-based GulfShore Bank is making its first foray into Pinellas County, with a new branch in St. Petersburg's downtown Edge district.

The branch is at 965 Central Ave., according to a release.

“Opening our first branch office in the Edge business district makes for an exciting entry into the Pinellas market,” GulfShore Bank President and CEO Joe Caballero says in the release. “Many of the accomplishments of this revitalized district in downtown reflect similar values to GulfShore Bank. Their growth has been thoughtful and steady, similar to the growth of our bank, and they are extremely community-oriented, just like we are. It's a great location for us to enter Pinellas County.”

GulfShore Bank was founded in 2007. Its other locations are in downtown Tampa, on 401 South Florida Ave., and in South Tampa, on 3201 South MacDill Ave. The bank had $316.4 million in assets through June 30.
