Zynga founder joins food purveyor

BONITA SPRINGS — Tom Bollich, a founding member of game maker Zynga, has been appointed chief information officer at The Fresh Diet.

The Fresh Diet, a subsidiary of Bonita Springs-based Innovative Food Holdings, delivers freshly prepared meals to consumers in 44 metropolitan areas of the U.S. Innovative Food also distributes specialty foods to thousands of chefs around the country.

Bollich was a founding member and chief technology officer for Zynga, the maker of games such as Farmville. The game maker became a public company in November 2011 with a $7 billion valuation. Prior to Zynga, Bollich served as chief technology officer of Nu-Kitchen, a provider of freshly prepared meals that was acquired by NutriSystem.

“In addition to leading the redesign of The Fresh Diet website, Tom will be also be focused on developing diet and health and wellness-related mobile consumer apps to further enhance The Fresh Diet customer experience,” says Bryan Janeczko, CEO of The Fresh Diet, in a statement.
