For the second year in a row, executives with Sarasota-based Global Financial Private Capital were invited to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange.

The latest ring took place Aug. 27. A contingent of 15 employees and officials made the trip to New York for the ceremony. Global Financial CEO Michael Dixon says the honor is like his industry's Super Bowl, and it never gets old. “I know they do it every day, but it's still some rarefied air,” Dixon tells Coffee Talk. “It's a special place.”

Global Financial, which manages more than $5.3 billion in assets, is one of the largest registered investment advisers in the country. It has 115 employees, and recently moved into new offices. The company also rang the opening bell at the NYSE Feb. 25, 2014.
