Engineering firm names new top exec

TAMPA — National engineering and architecture firm HNTB Corp. named Leonard Becker the office leader of its west Florida location, based in Tampa.

Becker, formerly the head of HNTB Michigan, now oversees four offices, two traffic management centers and 100 employees in Florida, according to a statement. His responsibilities include business strategy and operations, the statement adds. Becker also heads the firm's Partners Program, a coaching initiative for small, local consulting firms.

HNTB Corp., founded in Kansas City, Mo. in 1914, is an engineering and construction consulting services company. The firm has been in Florida for 60 years, where it works with highway, aviation, transit, municipal and utility clients.
