SARASOTA — Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, a Houston-based firm that opened its first Florida office in March 2014, in Lakewood Ranch, continues its hot streak with a new project in Lee County.

The firm, according to a release, will lead the construction of the $4 million Cape Coral Marketplace. The retail plaza will feature a 40,000-square-foot Walmart and an 18,000-square-foot Goodwill, with additional retail space suitable for restaurants, banks, auto centers, gas stations and convenience stores, the release adds. The project could be completed by June.

The 15-acre site is owned by Morse Properties. It will be located at the southeast corner of Pine Island Road and Hibiscus Drive.

Founded in 1989, Satterfield & Pontikes has four Texas offices along with its Lakewood Ranch office. The Cape Coral project will be the firms 19th since it entered Florida. It now has 16 area employees, up from three last year. “We've grown substantially since introducing our operations into the Florida market,” Satterfield & Pontikes area executive Craig Campbell says in the statement.
