SARASOTA — Jordan Hallam has been named group vice president and director of business banking for Gateway Bank of Southwest Florida.

Hallam has been with Gateway since 2011. He is responsible for growing the bank's commercial loan production and SBA loans.

“Small business lending is the lifeblood of Gateway Bank, and Hallam's focus on SBA lending will enhance the bank's ability to fulfill the financial needs of this niche market, which are small business owners and entrepreneurs,” Gateway Bank President and CEO Shaun Merriman says in a statement.

Hallam has been in banking for seven years. He currently serves on the Economic Development Corp. of Sarasota County's Business Climate Committee.

Gateway Bank, with $240 million in assets, has three locations and 41 employees.
