NAPLES — Hodges University says it has begun to search for a new president who will be appointed early next year.

The university has hired Academic Search to find the person who will replace David Borofsky, who currently is serving as interim president after Jeanette Brock retired nearly one year ago.

“Hodges University is seeking a dynamic and visible leader to build on the institution's well-established excellence in serving the needs of adult learners,” says John Agnelli, chairman of the university's board of trustees, in a statement.

Founded in 1990 as International College, Hodges is a private, nonprofit institution that offers more than 25 associate, baccalaureate and master's programs. It has campuses in Naples and Fort Myers, with more than 2,200 students.

“The search committee is comprised of members of Hodges' board of trustees and is chaired by Keith Arnold, vice chairman of the board,” says Agnelli. “An advisory committee, including community members and representatives of the university's faculty, staff and student body, will be named to assist the search committee, which will select the new president.”
