Mobile marketing business expands board

SARASOTA — Mobile marketing firm MobileBits Corp. named Hazem Bawab, a serial software entrepreneur, to its board of directors.

Bawab founded a mobile solutions company called United Business Applications in 2001. He helped the company become a regional leader in enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management, according to a statement.

Hussein Abu Hassan, president of Sarasota-based MobileBits, is excited about Bawab's decade-plus of “experience as a strategic partner with one of the world's foremost enterprise software companies,” he says in a statement.

Founded in 2009, MobileBits Corp. is the provider of Samy, a mobile marketing and engagement network.
