Cloud communications firm promotes five

SARASOTA — Star2Star Communications, which offers cloud communication services to clients, has promoted five employees to help the company focus on growth and expansion.

Michelle Accardi will replace Randy Richardson as COO, assuming leadership of the sales, customer service, account services, technical support and partner services teams. Richardson will become the company's first chief information officer.

John McGovern will take over as CFO, overseeing the overall financial health of the company. He will replace Gary Arnold, who will become the executive vice president and treasurer. Arnold will be responsible for the company's banking and financial relationships.

Bruce Illes, currently Star2Star's legal counsel, will become chief legal officer. He has been with the company since mid-2011.

Founded in Sarasota in 2006, Star2Star Communications helps clients overcome communication limitations. In 2011, it was named to Forbes' list of America's Most Promising Companies.
