Eliminate Florida's tax on businesses

An entity is a thing with distinct and independent existence.

The state of Florida has no individual income taxes. There are no state income tax forms to file. It is time for the Legislature to pass laws eliminating income taxes for business entities.

No more corporate filings.

No more LLC filings.

The state is running significant surpluses. The elimination of business income tax and filings would leave more money in Florida businesses. Employers would be able to provide income improvement for their workers and hold excess profits.

With more money in the hands of businesses and workers who are also consumers, state sales taxes would increase — more overall revenue to the state.

If the Legislature cannot eliminate this income tax, I call for a $1 million profit exemption and the suspension of filings.

Only those companies that have a profit of more than $1 million would be required to file and pay in.
