Builder completes major makeover projects

SARASOTA — Gerdes Construction, with a niche in dental/medical office work, recently completed two major remodel projects.

One project is a renovation of Dr. Todd Reuter's dental practice, Sarasota Oral & Implant Surgery, on south Tamiami Trail, according to a statement. The 3,400-square-foot building formerly housed Personal Physicians of Sarasota, a practice belonging to Dr. Dean Hautamaki and Dr. Todd Horiuchi.

Gerdes additionally recently completed a new interior build out of Schirmer Dentistry, also on south Tamiami Trail, the release adds. The 2,700-square-foot dental office is in Sarasota's Midtown Plaza.

Sarasota-based Gerdes has been in business more than 20 years, with projects from Naples through the Tampa region. The company specializes in high-end commercial and multifamily residential construction, as well as dental and medical office remodeling and new construction.
