SARASOTA — Wireless mobile broadband firm xG Technology picked up a $400,000 order for its telemedicine-related system to be used in the Asia Pacific region.
The order is for the initial pilot of two digital health communities being constructed in remote areas, a statement says. The order came from Mytec, an xG partner. Each bundle includes broadband wireless networking equipment with high-performance access points, hotspot units and mobile control switching centers, the release adds.
Founded in 2002, Sarasota-based xG Technology has more than 50 U.S. patents and more than 100 internationally. The firm develops and sells wireless communications and spectrum sharing technologies, mostly in rural communities.
