FORT MYERS — Infrastructure construction firm EHC has been tapped to start building utilities and site paving for the future headquarters for Somero Enterprises.

EHC is preparing the site near Southwest Florida International Airport for the construction of a 14,000-square-foot building, which will be done by Chris-Tel Construction. Somero manufactures equipment and machinery to help lay concrete.

Somero's new headquarters will feature executive offices and a training facility with an equipment warehouse, a classroom and an outside break room. In addition, there will be covered parking, employee areas and a training ground.

The new headquarters will be in the Southwest International Commerce Park in Fort Myers. The proximity to Southwest Florida International Airport will allow the company to accommodate customers who will fly in for training.
