Tampa banker chosen for national board post

TAMPA — ICBA Bancard, a payments service subsidiary of the Independent Community Bankers of America, elected Tampa bank executive William West to its board of directors.

West is one of 11 members on the board of directors and the only one from Florida, according to a statement. West is the president and CEO of the Bank of Tampa, which has $1.4 billion in assets and nine offices. He also serves on the ICBA Regulation Review Committee.

Washington, D.C.-based Independent Community Bankers of America represents more than 6,000 community banks.
