Daytime cafe continues rapid expansion

SARASOTA — First Watch Restaurants, one of the largest breakfast, brunch and lunch chains in the country, is opening a restaurant in Newport News, Va., marking its third location in the state.

The restaurant will feature First Watch's unique menu items, including options like avocado toast and lemon ricotta pancakes, according to a statement. The location will have about 25 employees.

First Watch is the fastest growing daytime-only restaurant nationwide, with more than 270 restaurants in 26 states.
