SARASOTA — Intertape Polymer Group Inc., which makes tapes, polyethylene films, fabrics and packaging systems, acquired RJM Manufacturing Inc. for $11 million.

Philadelphia-based RJM does business in as TaraTape and makes filament and pressure sensitive tapes. It had about $20 million in sales in the most recent fiscal year, according to a statement.

The acquisition is part of Intertape's growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions. The company acquired Better Packages Inc. of Connecticut earlier this year.

Intertape has 16 locations, including dual headquarters in Montreal and Sarasota.
