Punta Gorda buyer pays $1M for Jones Loop land

TITLE FIRM ON DEED: Fidelity National Title, Diamond Bar, Calif.

PLANS, DESCRIPTION:
A company led by Thomas Gruber of Punta Gorda purchased 30.1 acres of grazing land on Jones Loop Road for $1.15 million.

The price equated to $38,206 per acre.

The planned development zoned land fronts Alligator Creek, which also serves as water retention, and is just east of Interstate 75. The site is approved for future general commercial or commercial-intensive uses, including hospitality, retail, office, industrial or medical uses. It is also less than a mile south of the Punta Gorda Airport.

Robert Johnston, Derek Bornhorst and Jerry Messonnier of Lee & Associates | Naples-Fort Myers represented the seller. Lyn Bevis of the Bevis Group with Re/Max Harbor Realty represented the buyer.

The Business Observer was unable to contact Gruber for comment prior to deadline.
