CLEARWATER -- The executive restructuring at Tech Data Corp. following the retirement of its longtime CFO continues, with two new promotions.

One promotion is for Joseph Trepani, named senior vice president and CFO of the Americas for the firm. He replaces Chuck Dannewitz, who will fill Tech Data's corporate CFO position in June.

Trepani has been with Tech Data, which trades on the Nasdaq under the symbol TECD, for 25 years, and had been the company's senior vice president and corporate controller since 1998. His old position will be filled by Jeffrey Taylor, making him Tech Data's new chief accounting officer.

“We are fortunate to have two seasoned leaders like Joe and Jeff, who both have proven track records of execution,” says Jeff Howells, the retiring CFO who joined Tech Data in 1991, in a release.

Taylor rejoined Tech Data in 2012 after he spent a previous stint as vice president of corporate accounting. More recently, he was a vice president and assistant corporate controller at Tech Data. He also spent 11 years with Deloitte & Touche, including three years as an audit partner in Russia.

Trepani joined Tech Data in 1990, and spent four years in the 1990s as director of operations. In the 1980s Trepani was with what was then known as Price Waterhouse.

Tech Data reported profits of $175.2 million, or $4.59 per share in its most recent fiscal year ended Jan. 31, on revenue of $27.7 billion. That compares to a $179.9 million, or $4.73 per share, profit on $26.8 billion in revenue the year before.
