TAMPA -- TD Bank is expanding its commercial real estate lending team in Tampa and other parts of Florida, naming Donald Mincey and Carlos Perez as senior managers.

The two join a small group of lenders the New Jersey-based bank is adding to its local team, designed to help commercial real estate clients in Florida's metro areas.

“We see the strength and growth potential of Florida's commercial real estate market, and we're excited to expand our presence in the region with the addition of these talented individuals,” says Gregg Gerken, head of TD Bank's commercial real estate division, in a release.

Mincey is the new senior vice president and regional director for commercial real estate in Florida. He will lead the bank's team in Tampa, Boca Raton and Coral Gables, as well as manage the division's finance activities in the state.

The Tampa resident joined TD Bank in 2008, and has nearly 40 years experience in banking and lending, at one time managing the state's west coast for National City Bank's investment real estate division.

Perez is the new vice president and team credit manager, who will supervise the commercial real estate division's credit management staff. That group underwrites new loans, and is responsible for portfolio management, as well as reporting and data integrity.

The Boca Raton resident joined TD Bank in 2013, and has 26 years in the business, working in the credit departments of Bank of America and Barnett Bank of South Florida in the past.

TD Bank is one of the 10 largest banks in the country, with more than 8 million customers visiting 1,300 locations.
