SARASOTA — Envera Systems, a security technology firm, plans to hire 30 people and make a capital investment of more than $600,000 to expand in a new facility.
The firm, based in Sarasota, uses a combination of proprietary software and Internet technologies to monitor gated home communities across Florida from a remote location. The model, that it can replace or augment a gated community's 24-hour live human being security service, has resonated with cash-deficient homeowners associations in the past few years. Envera currently has more than 100 employees, according to a release. Its state-of-the-art central station operates 24 hours a day.
“Sarasota's ideal location on the Gulf Coast allows us to remain close to our ever-growing Southwest Florida customer base, while also capitalizing on the skilled employee base from Tampa to Fort Myers,” Envera CEO Addi Aloya says in the release. “In addition, our existing employees, who have helped grow our business tremendously in the past five years, will benefit from our transition to the new facility, with the promise of a long-term commitment to the Sarasota area and its strong quality of life.”
