PROPERTY: 8060 College Parkway, Fort Myers

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Henderson Franklin Starnes & Holt PA, Fort Myers

PLANS, DESCRIPTION:
Allyn International Services Inc. purchased the 9,113-square-foot former Northern Trust building for $1.06 million.

The price equated to $116 per square foot. That figure is in line with the two-year average price per square foot for office space ($112) in the Southwest Florida, according to the CoStar Group.

The two-story office building was constructed in 1985 and renovated in 1992. It occupies a 0.73-acre parcel and has a covered drive-thru for three tellers.

Allyn International purchased the building to serve as its future headquarters. The company, which has been growing recently, employs about 80 people (read more on its growth on BusinessObserverFL.com).

“We wanted something that was geographically close to our current office,” says Allen Trevett, CEO of Allyn International. “We also wanted something that would represent the professional standards our clients have come to expect of us. Something that was good structurally with good access to the airport and the local community.”

The new ownership plans to renovate the building starting in the next couple months. It hopes to have some of its people there by May.

The global transportation logistics company mortgaged the property to Northern Trust Co. for $848,000.
