A Manatee County treetop obstacle course business, TreeUmph!, is expanding to Brooksville in Hernando County.

The location, the second for the company, is expected to open in November 2016 and have up to 30 full-and part time jobs, according to a release. Officials with the company project the Brooksville TreeUmph!, spread over 50 acres, will bring 25,000 to 40,000 people a year to the Hernando County area.

“We are thrilled that TreeUmph! Adventure Course is coming to Hernando County,” Hernando County Tourism Bureau tourism development coordinator Tammy Heon says in a release. “The park is the perfect addition to the outdoor adventures that Hernando County offers to both residents and guests.”

Husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Aaron and Kathy Corr founded TreeUmph! Adventure Course in rural Manatee County in late 2012. The park, on State Road 70, nine miles east of Interstate 75, features five adult courses, from beginner to extreme; a children's course for ages 7 and up; and a 650-foot-long zip line. The Hernando County location, according to a release, will include up to 80 individual obstacles with a design unique to the Brooksville landscape.

“It has been a dream come true to watch our original Manatee County treetop adventure course blossom into a successful, fun destination for residents and visitors alike,” Aaron Corr says in the statement. “To have the opportunity to develop and introduce another TreeUmph! Adventure Course is simply amazing for us.”
