TAMPA -- Transportation management services provider BlueGrace Logistics is expanding its Hillsborough County headquarters, with plans to hire 100 new employees by 2017.

The jobs, according to a release, include areas in technology, accounting, legal and professional services. BlueGrace currently has 165 employees in its Riverview headquarters, as well as other offices across the country.

Hillsborough County commissioners and state officials provided BlueGrace with $300,000 in incentives, which will be distributed over a six-year period based on the creation of jobs with a minimum average salary of a little less than $55,000.

BlueGrace was founded in Apollo Beach in 2009, providing a Web-based transportation management software system called BlueShip. It allows companies to consolidate shipping requirements into one system.

“BlueGrace Logistics is emerging as one of Hillsborough County's great entrepreneurial success stories,” says Ronald Vaughn, chair of the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corp., in a release. “In just six years, they have built one of the most progressive transportation and supply chain management companies in the country by developing superior technologies to serve the freight industry's needs.”

Three other states offered BlueGrace relocation packages, according to Hillsborough commissioner Sandra Murman. Details of those packages were not revealed.
