$900M bank promotes executive

HomeBanc promoted 20-year banker Jon James to senior vice president and chief risk and compliance officer.

HomeBanc says James, who has been with the bank since 2007, will work out of the lender's offices in Tampa and Lakewood Ranch. James, according to a release, was formerly the bank's retail compliance officer.

HomeBanc, under its parent company, Tampa-based HomeBancorp, has 14 offices in Florida, from Polk County to Lakewood Ranch. The bank had $908 million in assets through March 31. James worked for Citizens Republic Bancorp in Flint, Mich., before he joined HomeBanc.
