If you're like most hard workers, you're often gobbling down a sandwich and chips at your desk while answering email. Shopping for dinner is a luxury.

Despite your best intentions, resolutions to eat healthy this year go out the window with those slices of leftover pizza or frozen lasagna from the microwave.

But a Bonita Springs-based company launched a new concept that will deliver freshly prepared meals to desk-bound workers nationwide. The Fresh Diet, a subsidiary of fine-foods purveyor Innovative Food Holdings, calls the concept Fresh Diet @ Work.

Fresh Diet already delivers prepared meals to consumers at home in 570 cities in 44 metropolitan areas. Now the plan is to partner with companies to deliver meals and snacks to employees at work.

Customers will be able to select three meals and two snacks for workplace delivery. They can customize their choices and order online based on their tastes and needs. Choices include albacore tuna salad, fresh fruit and tofu Thai noodles.

In addition to complimentary access to nutritionists, the Fresh Diet program can tailor incentives based on meeting weight goals, group participation and other corporate team activities. There is no cost to the employer.

Fresh Diet currently advertises a 31-day meal plan for $39.99 per day, which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner and two snacks.
