NAPLES — Tim Ubben, the retired chairman of Chicago-based money management firm Lincoln Capital Management, is giving $10 million to the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County.

The gift by Naples residents Tim Ubben and his wife Sharon Ubben is the largest contribution to date, the club says in a statement. The money will be added to the organization's endowment to fund future programs.

“We have been very impressed with the mission, vision and leadership of the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County,” Ubben says in a statement. “The return on this investment for us will be seeing the bright, shining faces of young people whose lives are significantly improved because of their Boys & Girls Club experience.”

Specifically, the return on the endowment will be used for operational support of the organization, creating a scholarship fund for club members and to provide temporary construction funding for a new club building in Immokalee. “We are extremely grateful for the gift from Tim and Sharon and for the faith they have in the future of our Club,” says Theresa Shaw, the club's president and CEO, in a statement.
