Tampa mobile home park sells for $35M

TAMPA — The Carolyn Artis Trust of Encino, Calif., purchased The Homes of Fountainview mobile home park for $34.89 million.

The price equated to $63,777 per home lot or $474,120 per acre.

The 73.58-acre mobile home park is located at 8800 N. Sheldon Road, Tampa and backs up to the Upper Tampa Bay Trail. It has 547 home lots.

The gated community features tennis, bocce ball and shuffleboard courts, two swimming pools, an exercise and rehearsal room, laundromat and two clubhouses. The community is age restricted to residents 55 and older.

The four built-in-place structures include the two clubhouses, a 266-square-foot office building and a 2,400-square-foot prefabricated metal building.

The property last sold for $2.1 million in September 1979.

Cal Am Properties Inc. manages all of the properties owned by The Carolyn Artis Trust.
