Westchase firm nabs best product honors

WESTCHASE — Eva-Dry's EDV-4000 dehumidifier was recognized as the best product of 2014 by Design Journal. In addition, Design Journal named the product a finalist for the ADEX or Awards for Design Excellence, which is described as the largest design awards in the architecture and design industry.

The EDV-4000 dehumidifies up to 4000 cubic feet and has a built-in ionizer and bacteria-killing filter to improve air quality and prevent mold.

“Our EDV-4000 uses innovative rotary desiccant technology to provide high-volume dehumidification without a compressor,” David Colangelo, vice president of Eva-Dry, says in a press release. That gives it the advantage, he says, of being much safer than compressor-based systems while also requiring little maintenance to operate.
