BONITA SPRINGS — Bryan Janeczko has been named CEO of The Fresh Diet, a company that creates and delivers fresh meals to consumers in over 570 U.S. cities.

Innovative Food Holdings, a Bonita Springs-based company that distributes specialty foods to chefs around the country, acquired The Fresh Diet in August in a deal that doubles the size of the company. The Fresh Diet is now a subsidiary of Innovative Food.

In 2003, Janeczko co-founded NuKitchen, a leading provider of freshly prepared meals designed to promote weight management and healthy living. NuKitchen created technology to deliver made-to-order meals on the day customers wanted them. After raising approximately $2 million in venture capital and generating 100% year-over-year revenue growth for five years, Janeczko sold NuKitchen to NutriSystem in 2008.

Following the sale of NuKitchen, Janeczko's most recent success was leading the development and commercialization of Crock-Pot Cuisine, a subscription-based meal delivery service for Jarden Corp., a Fortune 500 consumer products company.

“With more than 15 years of proven leadership experience and a strong track record, with demonstrated success of developing innovative solutions in the direct to consumer meal delivery space, Bryan brings a highly regarded wealth of knowledge and a history of success including the successful sale of a company in the fresh meal space, to our business, as we take action to capitalize on the tremendous growth opportunities in our market,” says Sam Klepfish, CEO of Innovative Food Holdings, in a statement.
