Brightwork Real Estate buys ranch land for Wawa

PRICE: $1.2 million
LAW FIRM ON DEED: Schroder-Manatee Ranch Inc., Lakewood Ranch

PLANS, DESCRIPTION:
Brightwork Real Estate Inc. purchased 2.14 acres at the intersection of State Road 70 and Lorraine Road for $1.2 million.

The price equated to $560,748 per acre.

The Tampa-based developer is seeking approvals to develop the vacant land in Lakewood Ranch into a Wawa convenience store. Wawa stores average roughly 6,000 square feet of retail space.

Brightwork Real Estate will stay on as the landlord for Wawa. The firm develops and owns the local real estate for some of the most prominent national retail and banking tenants, including Bank of America, Starbucks, Verizon and Walgreens. Its holdings include Synovus Bank Financial Center in Wesley Chapel and Fletcher Collection, Soho Collection and New Tampa Collection in Tampa.
