A Fort Myers nonprofit wants you to plaster its buses with your message.

Alan Mandel, the president and CEO of Good Wheels in Fort Myers, says his organization has 50 buses that run around town taking disadvantaged people to doctor and hospital appointments. “The only money we get is what the state pays us,” Mandel says.

So Mandel is relaunching a campaign to recruit advertisers to wrap his buses with their names, logos and messages. You can wrap a bus for about $3,400 and the monthly fee will run $900, he says. There are less costly options for wrapping a portion of the bus, too.

His pitch: Good Wheels buses travel hundreds of thousands of miles each year and can be seen by thousands of drivers on Southwest Florida roads each day. Plus, you'll be benefiting a worthwhile organization.

Good Wheels has done this before with consumer-oriented businesses, such as jewelers and storm-shutter installers. Mandel says those contracts have expired, so he's looking for new customers.
