Wine fest boosts board

Fresh from raising more than $12.5 million over a long weekend at the Naples Winter Wine Festival in January, the Naples Children & Education Foundation announced new star power to its board.

These well-connected entrepreneurs include:

Rick Kash, the vice chairman of Nielsen Co. Nielsen is publicly traded and has 40,000 employees in 105 countries. Kash sold his previous company, The Cambridge Group, to Nielsen.

Bill Cary, the former president and chief operating officer of GE Capital, the financial services unit of the General Electric. He currently serves as a director of Synchrony Financial and Rush Enterprises, both publicly traded companies.

Lewie Card, the owner of Card-Monroe Corp. Tennessee-based Card-Monroe is the world's leading manufacturer of custom built tufting equipment for the carpet, rug and artificial turf industries.

Nancy and Joe Masterson, the owners of Masterson Co., a consumer and industrial food products manufacturing company headquartered in Milwaukee since 1980.
