ST. PETERSBURG — Transamerica Financial Advisors has new leadership, thanks to a small round of promotions that has named Seth Miller CEO.

Miller has been Transamerica's president since 2009, and was succeeded in that role by a managing director, George Chuang.

“Promoting from within demonstrates the bench strength of the TFA organization, and recognizes the talent and expertise we have in Seth and George,” says Marty Flewellen, chief distribution officer for Transamerica's life and protection division, in a release. “With George taking over day-to-day management of TFA, Seth will be freed up for an expanded role with the life and protection organization.”

Miller joined Transamerica 15 years ago, and oversaw the merging of the three retail Transamerica broker-dealers. He is a University of Notre Dame graduate, and a retired captain with the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

Chuang joined the company in 1999, and received his master's in finance from the University of Southern California.

Transamerica manages more than $32 billion in customer assets, with more than 5,000 registered representatives.
