FORT MYERS — Adam Parrish, 35, of Naples, pleaded guilty to charges of health care fraud stemming from a Sunshine Pharmacy scheme to make false claims from government insurance programs, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

Adam Parrish is the third member of his family to plead guilty to health care fraud, which included submitting reimbursements for prescriptions for dead people. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

In 2014, a federal judge sentenced Delmer Parrish, who was a licensed pharmacist and the owner of Sunshine Pharmacy, to two years in prison. The judge also sentenced his mother, Patricia Parrish, to four months of house arrest and three years' probation.

According to the U.S. Attorney's office, the Parrishes submitted false claims for prescription reimbursements from government programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare. The claims totaled $351,358.
