SARASOTA — Florida Gov. Rick Scott appointed Sarasota attorney Thomas Luzier, a shareholder with Dunlap & Moran, to the Florida Real Estate Commission.

Luzier is one of seven people picked by Scott for the commission, which educates and regulates real estate licensees, according to a release. The commission meets monthly in Orlando, the release adds, and members, confirmed by the Florida Senate, serve four-year terms.

Luzier has more than two decades of legal experience in real estate finance and title insurance, real property law and business transactions. “This is an opportunity to contribute my knowledge and experience to a group that is charting the course for our state's real estate law,” Luzier says in the statement. “My involvement with the commission will bring a new dimension to my legal practice and enhance the services I provide for clients and their Realtors alike.”
