TAMPA — With a rate of one in every 512, Tampa boasts a November foreclosure rate that's sixth highest among metro areas nationwide, according to a report by real estate data provider RealtyTrac.

The top five metro foreclosure rates belong to Atlantic City, N.J., Trenton, N.J., Ocala, Baltimore, and Reading, Pa., according to the report. Jacksonville and Daytona Beach also are in the top 10.

Florida's overall foreclosure rate in November is one in every 662 housing units, the third highest in the nation, the report shows. Florida's statewide foreclosure rate has ranked in the top five nationally each month in 2015.

Florida foreclosure activity in November, however, decreased 30% over the same month a year ago. Foreclosure starts were down 36% in the same period.
