Hospital system opens mall store

ESTERO — Hospital operator Lee Memorial Health System says it plans to open a store at Coconut Point Mall in December where it plans to help patients with health care advice and referrals.

Lee Memorial, which operates four acute-care hospitals in the Fort Myers area, says the 5,334-square-foot store at Coconut Point Mall will be staffed with health advocates and guides who will help patients navigate the health care system. The guides will help patients find doctors and other health care services.

Called the Healthy Lifestyle Center, the store at 23190 Fashion Drive will provide information about disease management and lifestyle changes. The center will host lectures by physicians and will be a gathering place for support groups.
