NAPLES — Hodges University has named the science and technology building on its Naples campus the Stock Building.

Naples-based Stock Development is known for developing residential communities such as Lely Resort in Naples and Paseo in Fort Myers. Terms of the naming of the university building were not disclosed.

“We are very appreciative of the support we've received from both Stock Development and the Stock family for the past several years,” says David Borofsky, president of Hodges University, in a statement. “Their dedication and commitment to our institution has made a difference in the lives of our students, and, in effect, the community we serve.”

The university purchased the building from Stock Development last year and has occupied most of the building since 2010. The Stock Building houses several labs and classrooms for the School of Allied Health and the Fisher School of Technology, as well as staff and faculty offices, the Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning and the John White Community Hall.
