Pasco EDC honors eight firms

PASCO COUNTY — The Pasco Economic Development Council Inc. honored eight companies at its 28th Industry of the Year Awards.

The awards were given as follows:
Special Recognition Award: Withlacoochee River Electric Coop.
Special Contribution Award: Pasco-Hernando State College
New Business Award: MedActive Oral Pharmaceuticals LLC
Technology Award: DataMentors LLC
Service/Distribution - Category 1: Gator Cleaning Solutions
Service/Distribution - Category 2: A & K Energy Conservation Inc.
Manufacturer of the Year - Category 1: Rochester Electro-Medical Inc.
Manufacturer of the Year - Category 2: Seaway Plastics Engineering Inc.

Each year, Pasco EDC solicits nominations for the awards. To be considered, companies need to exhibit exemplary growth in technology, innovation, job creation, capital investment and community service. The nominees are then interviewed by members of the Pasco EDC Award Committee using a grading scale to determine winners. To learn more about the companies, click here.
