Rib City continues growth

FORT MYERS — Barbecue restaurant chain Rib City plans to build its 13th corporate-owned location in Fort Myers.

The newest location will be located at 6830 Shoppes at Plantation Drive in Fort Myers. The 3,000-square-foot restaurant is scheduled to open in the spring.

The Fort Myers-based company, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, now has 12 corporate-owned restaurants in Florida and 17 franchise-owned restaurants in Florida, Washington, Utah, Colorado, Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri and Virginia.

Fort Myers restaurateurs Paul and Craig Peden control the privately held Rib City. They also own and operate the Veranda restaurant in downtown Fort Myers. You can read a story about the family business here.
