FORT MYERS — Scanlon Auto Group opened a $25 million Acura dealership in Fort Myers as auto sales continue to rise throughout the region.

The 11,000-square-foot dealership at 14270 South Tamiami Trail in Fort Myers features a car wash, a coffee bar and an air-conditioned new-car delivery area.

“We are proud to say more than 90% of the construction work was completed by local subcontractors,” says Jay Scanlon, president of Scanlon Auto Group, in a statement. “We have called Southwest Florida our home for more than three decades, and we plan to be here for many more.”

Owen-Ames-Kimball Company served as the design-build team on the project with Ramon Acevedo of GMA Architects Planners as the architect.

The Scanlon family has operated car dealerships in Southwest Florida since 1980. Today, Scanlon Auto Group includes Scanlon Lexus and Scanlon Acura, both located south on U.S. 41 in Fort Myers.
