SARASOTA — Voalte, a mobile health care communications firm that built its industry-leading niche around the iPhone, has partnered with a company that focuses on Android systems.

Voalte, according to a release, will become a select reseller for Boulder, Colo.-based Spectralink. Under the partnership Voalte will sell Spectralink's Android-based Pivot WorkSmart device with the Voalte One application, which combines voice over Wi-Fi calling, alarm and texts.

“Our goal at Spectralink has always been to provide the best wireless solutions for in-building mobile workers,” Spectralink CEO Sten Dyrmose says in the statement. “By partnering with Voalte, we continue to deliver WorkSmart solutions and meet the rigorous demands of those serving in the healthcare profession.”

Voalte, founded in 2008, has worked with Android systems for more than a year, but this is its first announcement of a major partnership with an Android-focused company. Voalte has more than 130 employees, and 35,000 caregivers in a host of top-ranked medical centers use its applications. “This strategic partnership with Spectralink allows Voalte customers to benefit from an intuitive and easy-to-use device like Pivot with our Voalte One solution, simplifying the way healthcare workers do their jobs,” Voalte founder and CEO Trey Lauderdale says in the release.
