CLEARWATER — Tech Data Corp. announced that both Phil Filippelli, the company's vice president of e-Business, and Marc McClure, the company's director of field sales for the Eastern United States, have been named by CRN to the 2014 100 People You Don't Know But Should list.

Chosen by the CRN editorial staff with input from vendor, distribution, and solution provider executives, the list recognizes those who have a demonstrable impact on technology vendor channel strategies, initiatives and programs. CRN says the list aims to recognize behind the scenes people working within the technology industry to make positive things happen for their partners.

Filippelli is responsible for Tech Data's e-business strategy, which covers a broad range of tools and services designed to streamline operations and generate incremental revenue. Since joining Tech Data in April 2011, Filippelli and his e-Business team have helped create the company's StreamOne global IT platform, the mobile application accessTD app and new small and mid-sized business website introduced earlier this year.

McClure joined Tech Data in July of 2011.

“This recognition is a reflection of Marc's outstanding leadership and ongoing support for solution providers within the I.T. channel,” Pete Peterson, senior vice president, U.S. Sales at Tech Data, says in a press release. “Marc has consistently driven growth within our sales organization, developing unique strategies for our channel partners' success.”
