Yeshua's Love Congregation buys former Bayside church building

Yeshua's Love Congregation in Sarasota purchased a 30,128-square-foot church on Fruitville Road for $2 million.

The price equated to $66 per square foot.

The 23.8-acre church property originally housed First Church of God of Sarasota. More recently it was leased to Bayside Community Church, which has since relocated to 8200 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota.

The church building features a multipurpose center that is currently used for services. It also has wings for youth, classrooms and administration.

Kevin Robbins of Harry E. Robbins Associates Inc. handled the transaction.

“The building was in really good shape,” he says. “It was in turnkey condition. The sanctuary had seats, lighting and speakers already in place.”

The new owner has the option to eventually develop an additional 15,000-square-foot building on some of the vacant land through an existing special exemption, Robbins says.
