LARGO — Anvil Paint & Coatings, with products sold at The Home Depot and other national stores, promoted longtime executive Glenn Roth to CEO.

Roth has worked at Largo-based Anvil Paint & Coatings for 16 years, according to a release. He was part of the leadership team that directed Anvil's recent expansion into a larger 55,000-square-foot facility on five acres. Roth previously worked in architectural and commercial services for Color Wheel Paints & Coatings.

As part of the management change, Kurt Schwahn has been named the firm's new president. Schwahn has more than 20 years experience in senior sales and consumer goods manufacturing. He's the former director of regional and national sales and development for Stanley Black & Decker and Newell Rubbermaid.

“I look forward to working with Kurt as we move into an exciting and dynamic phase of our organization,” Roth says in the press release. “Kurt has an excellent skill set and the expertise to deliver the leadership, strategic vision and product innovation that will position our company to meet and exceed the needs of our customers, both at the contractor and retail level.”

Anvil was founded in 1967 with one product, a specialty coating for tile roofs. Today the company has 75 different products, including roof coatings, exterior and interior texturized paints and primers. Anvil products are currently available through PPG, Glidden, The Home Depot and Amazon.
