If so, the university in Fort Myers wants to know. Alumni are invited to enter nominations into two categories: Alumni of Distinction and Soaring Eagle.

The Alumni of Distinction, the association's most prestigious award, recognizes one graduate each year for personal and professional achievements. The Soaring Eagle Award recognizes recent graduates — one from each of the five colleges — who have earned undergraduate degrees from FGCU within the last decade (2005-2015) and have excelled in their professions.

Last year's winner was Matthew Caldwell, a 2004 graduate who is currently serving a second term as a representative in the Florida Legislature.
